Assam: Sonowal, Himanta hail IAF’s air strikes in PoK

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narednra Modi for his timely action in safeguarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.

He also thanked the Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel for carrying out air strikes to neutralise militant outfits that are operating to carry subversive activities on India soil.

In a statement, Assam Chief Minister Sonowal said that 130 crore people of India are today elated in response to the courage and conviction shown by Prime Minister Modi in carrying out offensive against the anti-India forces hell bent to create disturbances in the country.

The entire nation is today proud of the actions of the Indian Air Force for the timely actions undertaken to defend the motherland, Sonowal added.

Hailing the air strike by IAF personnel in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also stated on his Twitter handle on Tuesday, “India strikes back at terror with lightning speed & precision. Salute to Indian Air Force & Indian Armed Forces. New India stands united with PM Narendra Modi ji in this war against terror and its patrons.”

Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has also lauded the air strikes by IAf personnel on PoK.

On his Twitter handle on Tuesday, Assam Minister Sarma quoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assertion – “Saugandh Mujhe Ichh Mitti Ki, Main Desh Nahin Jhukne Dunga” Sarma said PM Modi’s “commitment & endearment towards India is commendable”.

“Salute the decision of avenging dastardly act of Pakistan & paying tributes to Pulwama Martyrs. Great job Indian Air Force,” Sarma tweeted.
