Assam recorded one more COVID-19 positive case early Sunday morning.

This new case is a young boy from Sivasagar in eastern Assam.

This is in fact the case in the district.

State health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to his official Twitter handle to announce about the latest development.

Sarma wrote: ‘Alert ~ One young boy from Sibsagar  test #COVID19 positive. He is at present in our Jorhat Quarantine Centre.’

However, the patient is presently at the quarantine centre of Jorhat.

With this the total case in the State rose of 95.

While there are 41 recovered cases, there are still 50 active cases.

The state has registered two deaths while two patients have migrated to other states.
