In pursuance of a complaint received from Amguri area of Sivasagar district of Assam on the night of November 30 last, the election observer of Sivasagar district has appealed to political parties to take note that the studies of students are not disturbed during campaigning at evening hours.

Sivasagar district election observer Bharat Bhushan Dev Choudhury while expressing concern over the studies of students in the district has made an ardent appeal to all political parties and candidates of the ensuing panchayat elections to take utmost care so that the studies of students are not disturbed by campaigning.

Choudhury appealed to all political parties and candidates to be extra cautious so that the study hours of the students in the district, especially during evening hours are not hampered.

The election observer also said that the political parties and the candidates should take note of this while using public address system and other electronic devices.

He also appealed to all political parties and candidates to wind up their campaigning within the stipulated time.

The election observer further said that by adopting certain measures, the political parties and the candidates will not only express their concern and responsibility towards the society and also facilitate and play a constructive role in building a stronger democracy.
