Police in Assam’s Dibrugarh district has busted a sex racket by conducting raids at three different locations.
Four persons have been arrested by the police in connection with the case.

The arrested persons have been identified as – Babu Ali, Hemanta Gogoi, Nazim Ahmed and Farida Begum.
Four girls were also rescued by the police during the raid in Assam’s Dibrugarh.
“We conducted raids in Gandhi Nagar, Alokpath and Nalipool area after getting information of the sex racket and rescued four girls,” Dibrugarh SP Shwetank Mishra said.

He added: “Farida Begum is the mother of Nazim Ahmed and both have been running illegal flesh trade from their rented accommodation for many years.”
The Dibrugarh SP further said that many gangs involved in illegal flesh trade have been operating in the district.
“Agents of these gangs target young college girls and lure them into flesh trade business and sexually exploit them,” Dibrugarh SP Shwetank Mishra said.
