Sensation prevailed in Assam’s Dhubri on Tuesday after a 30-year-old youth was brutally murdered in the town.
The youth of Dhubri town was brutally murdered by unidentified miscreants on Monday night.
His body was recovered beside the railway track, about 150 meters away from his residence and Dhubri railway station as well.
The victim has been identified as one Samar Rajak, a local resident of Karai Factory Road under Ward No 10 of Dhubri town.
A huge contingent of police has been deployed in the area after tension prevailed in the locality following the murder.
The Dhubri police led by deputy superintendent of police Trinayan Bhuyan including other police official visited the spot and are investigating the matter with the help of dog squad since Monday night.
Family members of the deceased said he normally returns home at around 10 to 10.30 pm daily.
But on Monday night, he did not come home till 11 pm.
The family members started to search for him in the locality.
After sometime his blood stained body was recovered beside the railway track and accordingly police was informed.
The body was handed over to the family members at noon after post-mortem held at Dhubri Civil Hospital on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, police have also picked up a few people as part of the investigation.
The area where the body was recovered is known as a notorious place of Dhubri town and also marked as a very dangerous place from communal points of view.
