The Tangla English Medium High School (TEMHS), a pioneer school of the town, waived off the fees which was decided in a meeting of its school management members on Wednesday.

โ€œWe fully understand that in the prevailing circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, restricted access to banks, general hardships of the self employed persons and the slowdown in economy we would need to support our parentsโ€™ fraternity pro-actively. We have waived the tuition fees of the students for a month,โ€ said Mahendra Bharali, the managing director of the school.

โ€œWe are indebted to the school management for standing in solidarity with the parentsโ€™ fraternity in these trying times as we are already facing financial crunch amid the lockdown,โ€ said a parent.
