Assam on Tuesday evening reported six fresh coronavirus positive cases taking the state tally to 141.

Among the six new cases, four are from Guwahati and two are from Karimganj district.

Assam Health minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, tweeted, “Alert – 6 new #COVID + cases confirmed. Out of the 3 from Guwahati, 2 are related to a cancer patient who lost his life at GMCH (wife & daughter). 2 patients are from Karimganj and one from Sarusajai quarantine centre. Total patient count goes up to 141.”

Earlier in the day, a total of 20 positive cases were reported in the state.

Among the total people infected as on date, 41 have recovered and four have passed away.

On Monday, Assam had registered two Covid-19 related deaths and 15 positive cases.

The state has so far reported 141 Covid-19 positive cases including 50 cases from Kamrup (Metro), 15 cases from Golaghat district, 14 cases from Cachar district, nine cases from Kamrup, seven cases from Jorhat and six cases each from Morigaon, Goalpara, Nalbari districts.

Dhubri, Bongaigaon districts reported five cases each, three cases reported from Nagaon district, four cases from Karimganj distrct, two cases each from Kokrajhar, Biswanath, Hojai districts and one each from South Salmara, Lakhimpur, Hailakandi, Sonitpur, Sivasagar districts.
