Assam reports 3 more Covid19 deaths, 134 new cases

Assam reported 3 more deaths due to Covid19 infection and a total of 134 new positive cases in the last 24 hours..

Confirming the news, Assam health minister Keshab Mahanta in a tweet on Sunday evening said the new cases were confirmed out of 22,846 tests.

The state’s positivity rate stood at 0.59% on Sunday.

The state health minister informed that of the new cases, the Kamrup Metro district recorded 86.

“Summary of 12/12/2021 – Today’s Total 134; Overall Positivity Percentage (134 cases out of 22,846 test done = 0.59%); Kamrup(M) 86; Death 3; Recovery Rate 98.61%,” health minister Mahanta said in the tweet.

On Saturday, Assam recorded no death due to Covid19 infection.

The state reported a total of 112 positive cases on Sunday.

The overall positivity percentage stood at 0.36% as the positive 112 cases were detected out of 31,000 tests.

On Saturday, Kamrup(M) district reported 42 new cases.

The recovery rate stood at 98.61% on Saturday.

Meanwhile, a total of 132.93 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.

India’s active caseload currently stands at 92,281, the lowest in 560 days, the Union health ministry said.

Active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.27%, the lowest since March 2020.

The country’s recovery rate currently stands at 98.36%, the highest since March 2020.

The country recorded 8,464 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The country has registered a total recovery of 3,41,22,795.

So far a total of 7,774 new cases registered in the last 24 hours.

The daily positivity rate stands at 0.65%, which is less than 2% for last 69 days.
