A total of 2785 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Monday, out of 38,611 tests done in the last 24 hours.
The positivity rate of Assam now stands at 7.21 per cent.
Of the new cases detected today, 675 were from Kamrup (M),220 from Dibrugarh, 165 from Jorhat, and 126 from Lakhimpur.
Till the filing of this report, the total cases in Assam stood at 1,28,244 with 31,048 active cases.
A total of 96823 patients have recovered from the infection.
This was informed by the Assam health minister in a tweet.
