Assam recorded 26 more COVID-19 deaths and 2793 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
The news has been confirmed by Assam health minister Keshab Mahanta in a tweet on Friday evening.
While sharing the COVID-19 update of Assam, health minister Mahanta in the tweet said the new cases were confirmed out of 1,39,105 tests.
The COVID-19 positivity percentage recorded on Friday was 2.01%, according to the data shared by the Assam health minister.

Of the new COVID-19 cases, the Kamrup Metro district registered a total of 165 cases.
While 26 more patients lost their lives due to COVID-19 infection on Friday, hundreds of other patients recovered from the disease.
The state’s recovery rate stood at 93.12% on Friday.
