Assam reported 22 more Covid19 deaths and 1,054 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.

Confirming the news, Assam health minister Keshab Mahanta in a tweet on Sunday evening said the new cases were confirmed out of 73,507 tests.

The health minister informed that the state’s overall positivity percentage on Sunday stood at 1.43%.

Of the new cases, the Kamrup Metro reported 150.

On Sunday, hundreds of people, who were earlier infected by Covid19, recovered from the disease.

The state’s recovery rate on the day was 96.35%, health minister Mahanta informed.

“Summary of 25/7/2021 – Today’s Total 1054; Overall Positivity Percentage 1054 cases out of 73,507 test done = 1.43%); Kamrup(M) 150; Death 22; Recovery Rate 96.35%,” health minister Mahanta tweeted.

On Saturday, Assam reported 23 Covid19 deaths and 1,595 positive cases.

The new cases on Saturday were confirmed out of 1,18,889 tests and the state’s overall positivity percentage on Saturday stood at 1.34%.

Of the new cases reported on Saturday, the Kamrup Metro registered 179.

On Saturday, the state’s recovery rate was 96.26%.

On Friday, Assam registered 15 Covid19 deaths and a total of 1,621 positive cases.

The overall positivity percentage was 1.10% on Friday.

Till Sunday morning, 43.31 crore vaccine doses were administered under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.

India reported a total of 3,05,43,138 recoveries and the recovery rate stood at 97.36%.

India recorded 39,742 new cases in the last 24 hours.

The country’s active caseload stood at 4,08,212 till Sunday morning, according to the data shared by the Union health ministry.
