A total of 15 persons died of COVID-19 in Assam on Saturday, taking the state’s tally to 345.
The deceased have been identified as Jatin Bora (57) of Tinsukia, Bijoy Bhumick (51) of Dibrugarh, Jugal Kishore Agarwala (68) of Sivasagar, Nizamuddin Ali (68) of Sivasagar, Puniya Baishya (60) of Kokrajhar, Biren Debnath (65) of Udalguri, Syamala Shuklabadya (47) of Hojai, Sayladhar Bordoloi (82) of Jorhat, Niranjan Das (45) of Kokrajhar, Tikaram Sharma (54) of Chirang, Benumai Baruah (80) of Nagaon, Dimendra Kumar Chetia (79) of Kamrup (metro) and Pranab Baruah (57) of Dibrugarh.
It was announced by state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet.
