Assam reported 13 more Covid19 deaths and 708 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Confirming the news, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet on Friday night said the new cases were detected out of 1,00,079 cases tested in the last 24 hours.
Chief minister Sarma said the overall positivity percentage was 0.71% on Friday.
Of the new cases, the Kamrup Metro district reported 164.
On Friday, hundreds of other patients recovered from the deadly disease on Friday.
The state’s recovery rate stood at 97.63% on Friday.

On Thursday, Assam reported a total of 713 positive cases and 10 deaths due to Covid19 infection.
The overall Covid19 positivity percentage was 0.74% on Thursday.
Kamrup Metro district reported a total of 136 cases on Thursday.
The state’s recovery rate was 97.63% on Thursday.
Meanwhile, a total of 7.22 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive in India.
A total of 36,571 new Covid19 cases were reported in India in the last 24 hours.
Active cases account for 1.12% of total cases; the lowest since March 2020, according to data shared by the Union health ministry.
India’s active caseload stands at 3,63,605, the lowest in 150 days.
The recovery rate increased to 97.54%, the highest since March 2020.
