Assam has registered 20 new COVID19 positive cases taking the state total to 378.
Confirming the detection of the new positive cases in the state, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday said the infected persons are from Nalbari, Hojai, Kamrup Metro, Kamrup Rural, Morigaon and Nagaon districts.

Out of the infected patients, 6 are from Nalbari, 5 are from Kamrup Rural, and 2 are from Kamrup Metro district.
The 7 other infected patients include 4 from Hojai, 2 from Nagaon, and 1 from Morigaon district.
With the new cases, the number of active COVID19 cases registered in the state has increased to 314.

Earlier, a total of 57 COVID19 patients were discharged from the hospitals in the state after their recovery.
The disease has so far claimed the lives of 4 persons in Assam while 2 cases migrated from the state.
“Total cases 378. Recovered 57. Active cases 314. Deaths 04. Migrated 03,” health minister Sarma tweeted.
