Assam registered 152 new Covid19 cases on Sunday, taking the state’s positive tally to 2,08,789.
Confirming the news, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet on the state’s Covid19 tally on Sunday said the new cases were detected out of 10,985 tests.

The health minister said Assam’s positivity rate stands at 1.38%.
“152 Cases detected out of 10985 tests conducted today, with positivity rate of 1.38%,” health minister Sarma tweeted.
Of the new cases, the Kamrup Metro district reported 65 cases.

Meanwhile, 395 more patients, who were earlier infected by Covid19, have been discharged from various hospitals or Covid care centres.
According to the state’s latest Covid19 data, shared by health minister Sarma on his Twitter handle, a total of 2,01,331 patients have been discharged in Assam after their recovery from the disease so far.
Assam’s recovery rate is 96.43%.
On Sunday, 3 more patients succumbed to Covid19 infections, taking the death toll to 943.
The state’s death rate is 0.45%.
Assam currently has 6,512 active Covid19 patients, which is 3.11% of the total cases.
