Assam has reported 44 more Covid19 deaths and 3,781 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Conforming the news, Assam health minister Keshab Mahanata in a tweet on Saturday evening said the new cases were confirmed out of 3,781 cases.

The overall Covid19 positivity percentage of Assam stood at 3.26% on Saturday, stated Mahanta.
Of the new positive cases, Kamrup Metro alone reported 276 cases.
Hundreds of people also recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.

The state’s recovery rate on Saturday stood at 86.97%, according to the data shared by Assam health minister Mahanta.
“Summary of 05/6/2021 – Today’s Total 3781: Overall Positivity Percentage; (3781 cases out of 1,15,968 test done = 3.26%); Kamrup(M) 276; Death 44; Recovery Rate 86.97%,” Mahanta tweeted.
On Friday, Assam reported a total of 4,548 new positive cases and 54 more deaths.
The overall positivity rate was 3.68% on Friday.
Kamrup Metro reported 421 cases in Friday and the recovery rate was 87.02%.

In another tweet, health minister Mahanta said he inspected the Oxygen generating plant that started functioning from Saturday at the Swahid Kamala Miri Sub-divisional Civil Hospital in Bokakhat under Golaghat district.
During his visit to the hospital, the minister was accompanied by the Sub-divisional officer (SDO), circle officers and health officials.
The health minister informed that the oxygen plant will support 20 beds.
He also also reviewed the health conditions of the hospital’s patients.
