Assam registered 33 new COVID-19 positive cases on Tuesday.
With this the total number of COVID-19 cases in the State rose to 2868.

Among these 33 new cases 17 are from Tinsukia, four from Jorhat, three from Barpeta, two each from Chirang, Karbi Anglong and Nagaon and one each in Baksa, Golaghat and Majuli.
This was informed by state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through his official Twitter on Tuesday.

Notably as many as 784 have recovered from the disease so far and have been discharged from hospital over the last many days.
At present there are 2076 active cases in the State.
The State has witnessed five deaths so far.
