Assam on Saturday recorded a total of 1736 COVID-19 cases detected out of the total 25831 tests conducted, informed state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The positivity rate of Assam currently stands at 6.27 per cent, he further stated.
Of the 1736 cases detected on Friday, 397 cases were detected from Kamrup (Metro), 145 from Jorhat, and 130 from Dibrugarh.
The total COVID-19 cases detected in Assam has reached to 1,69,110 so far.

Till the filing of this report, 1,36,712 patients have recovered in Assam and 638 people have lost their lives to the infection so far.
Assam, till this report’s filing, has 31, 757 active cases.
