Assam: Reception body formed for UPPL’s triennial conference in Kokrajhar

The United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) Kokrajhar District Committee (KDC) convened a general meeting at Banargaon community hall on Sunday in Kokrajhar under the presidentship of Bidyadhar Brahma Choudhury, the president of KDC, UPPL.

After a prolong discussion, a strong reception committee has been formed with Jatirindra Brahma, MCLA  of No 8 Dotma constituency, as president and Ramesh Chandra Nrazary as secretary.

The UPPL is a political party which has been working in various districts of the Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD) with a view to strengthen the mass support of the party.

The Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) held at Udalguri recently under the chairmanship of its president UG Brahma passed some important resolutions.

As per resolutions of the CWC meeting, all the district committees of the party had been directed to form ‘Booth Level Committees’ as a preparation of the Lokh Sabha elections before the scheduled central conference of the party.

With the direction of the UPPL Central Committee, the Kokrajhar District Committee of UPPL formed the reception committee to observe the triennial conference at Banargaon in Kokrajhar district.

There will be various sub-committees with 300 members to prepare for the forthcoming central UPPL triennial conference scheduled to be held at Banargaon, Kokrajhar on September 29 & September 30, 2018. The reception committee of the conference started its works and massive preparation has taken place to make the triennial conference a success.

The meeting was attended by MLCA of No 15 Kajalgaon constituency Rwngwra Narzary, MCLA of No 4 Jamduar constituency, Jiron Basumatary, MCLA of No 8 Dotma constituency; Jatirindra Brahma and many other distinguished personalities.
