Considering the likelihood of occurrence of law and order situation and to safeguard the life and properties of citizens due to ongoing demonstration programme of the Chirang district Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) in front of the entrance gate of M/S Carbon Resources Pvt Ltd, Kukurmari under Dhaligaon Police Station, the Chirang District Magistrate Ratul Baruah has promulgated Section 144 CrPC, at that area.
Through this order, he has prohibited assembly of five or more persons in any public places, taking out processions, shouting slogans, holding meetings or rallies, dharnas and demonstrations, carrying illegal arms, any hazardous tools, and use of microphones at outdoor without permission within the periphery of 200 metres from M/S CarbonResources Pvt Ltd at Kukurmari.
This order has come into force from Wednesday and will remain in force until further order.
