A 21-year-old married woman was found hanging in her bedroom in Purb-Amtola area of Hojai on Saturday.
Sources informed that the deceased was six-month pregnant and it is suspected that she decided to end her life owing to domestic violence.

Hojai police reached the spot as soon as they got the news and took the body in to their custody and sent for post-mortem.
The deceased’s parents, however, has alleged this to be a pre-planned murder by her in-laws.
The husband’s family has denied the allegations and termed it to be a suicide.
