Pranjyoti Nath, a Jorhat-based Assamese writer and Wikipedia volunteer, has clinched all India third position in the Indic Wikisource Proofreadathon, August 2021.
The virtual event was organized by the Centre for Internet and Society – Access to Knowledge (CIS-A2K) to promote the online activity to the Wikisource project.
Wikisource is a virtual library of free content textual sources on a wiki, managed by the Wikimedia Foundation.

Nath was also adjudged as the best language contributor on articles written in the local community during the Feminism and Folklore 2021 writing contest for the Assamese language.
Feminism and Folklore is an international writing contest organized at Wikipedia annually to document folk cultures and women in different regions of the globe.

It may be mentioned that in an intensely fought competition among 10 Indian languages, the Assamese language bagged the second position in the Wikisource proofreading contest.
