Popular Assamese singer Zublee Baruah has tested positive for Covid19.
The news has been confirmed by the singer herself in a Facebook post on Saturday.

Informing that she has no specific Covid19 symptoms, Baruah said she has felt a “little cold”.
The Assam singer recently performed in a Bihu function in presence of a huge gathering.
Baruah said she tested for Covid19 as she does not want to infect others.

Revealing that she is “fine” as of now, the singer wrote: “Feeling a lil (little) weak though with a mild headache since morning.”
Baruah has requested those people, who met her in the last 6-7 days, to get themselves tested for Covid19.
“So friends please take all precautionary measures & stay protected,” she said in her Facebook post.
Saying that “anyone anytime can be infected”, the singer has asked not to panic.
Seeking blessing of all so that she can recover soon Baruah further wrote: “…Get yourself tested & do the needful. Need blessings to recover.”
On Wednesday evening, another popular Assamese singer Vitali Das died of Covid19 infection in Guwahati.
Vitali Das succumbed to the infection at the Kalapahar Covid19 hospital in Guwahati at 7:05 pm on Wednesday.
Her condition turned critical on Wednesday morning and was on ventilation.
She was admitted to the Kalapahar Covid19 hospital on April 15 after testing positive for the virus.
However, her Covid19 test results were found negative on Wednesday morning.
