Assam Police has recently released a recruitment notification for 204 vacant posts.
The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for filling up of 15 posts of Junior Assistant in the Directorate of A.P. HQrs and 170 posts of Junior Assistant in the district police cadre.
Moreover, the SLPRB is also inviting applications for 19 vacant posts of Stenographer (Grade III) in the district police cadre.
The filling of online applications will start from April 4, 2020 and will continue till May 4, 2020.

No application fee is required to be paid for filling up the online applications.
To apply for the posts, a candidate should not be more than 38 years and less than 18 years of age as on January 1, 2020.
In order to apply for the post of junior assistant, a candidate must be a graduate in arts, science, commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized college/institutions affiliated to a recognized university and must possess diploma in computer.
To apply for the post of stenographer, a candidate must be a graduate in arts, science, commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized college/ institutions affiliated to a recognized university and must have National Trade Certificate in stenography from ITI in Assam or any other institute recognized by the Govt of Assam/Govt of India with 80 WPM in English Stenography.
The pay scale of Junior Assistant is Rs 14000- 49000 (Pay Band No 2) plus Rs. 6200 grade pay and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
The pay scale of stenographer is Rs 14000- 49000 (Pay Band No. 2) plus Rs 8700 grade pay and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
