The Physical Standard Test and Physical Endurance Test (PST/PET) in 15 districts for the recruitment of 2,391 posts of constables (UB) and 4271 posts of constable (AB) in Assam police will start from September 1, 2021.
A notification issued by DGP Bhasakarjyoti Mahanta, who is also chairman of the State Level Police Board (SLPB), stated this on Wednesday.

The tests will be conducted in Biswanath, Chirang, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Hailakandi, Hojai, Jorhat, Morigaon, Kamrup (M), Karimganj, Karbi Anglong, Sivasagar, Sonitpur and Udalguri districts.
The candidates can download their admit cards for PST/PET from August 20, 2021, on the SLPRB website www.slprbassam.in
However, candidates who had appeared in the PST/PET earlier need not appear again.

Earlier, in view of the ensuing Assembly Election in the state and the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct, the SLPRB had decided that the PST/PET process started afresh in 15 districts from February 15, 2021 kept on hold.
