Four youths, including a Nigerian national, were nabbed by the Panabazar police on Thursday evening and seized a four-wheeler that they were driving.

According to the police, they chased down the vehicle ( AS-25-K-2707) as it was moving in the city even after the lockdown relaxation hours were over.

โ€œWe found that the particular vehicle was moving around after the lockdown relaxation hours, which get over at 6 pm,โ€ the police said.

โ€œOn being chased they tried to flee and in the process, they hit a footpath and damaged it,โ€ police added.

โ€œAfter being nabbed, the youths began telling different stories,โ€ the police added.

โ€œThe Nigerian national said that he was abducted by the other three other youth from Azara and was being taken to some unknown location,โ€ the police said.

โ€œWhile the three youths said the Nigerian was involved in an illegal Dollar trade and they nabbed him and were bringing to us,โ€ the police added.

The arrested youths have been identified as Abdul malik, Nazrul Islam, Saddam Hussain, and Patrick Chikulabi- who hails from Nigeria.

Till the filing of this report, the police were still interrogating the youths.

A case, case number  262/20 under IPC section 279/269/270 have been registered against the youths.
