Guwahati: A huge cache of suspected Yaba tables was seized by a team of Assam Police from Cachar on Monday.

As per sources, the suspected consignment is valued at over Rs 2 crore.

The source informed that following the seizure, the police nabbed a 30-year-old man.

The accused has been identified as Hilal Uddin Borbhuyan.

He was caught with the consignment containing 10000 Yaba tablets.

The accused was nabbed based on specific inputs, the police source said.

On Sunday, another police team in Karimganj, Assam seized a consignment of suspected contraband cough syrup bottles.

The police said that they nabbed one person with 100 cartons and 11 gunny bags containing 12,750 bottles of Phensedyl on Sunday.

An investigation is being carried out in connection with both the seizures.
