An unidentified person was killed in an accident that took place in Lakhimpur’s Narayanpur on Sunday.
Police sources informed that the person was still to be identified as there were no documents with him, but his identity will soon be ascertained as it is being verified through the bike’s number.
The deceased who was traveling on a two-wheeler was hit by a pick-up truck.
The collision did not just end with the deceased and his vehicle falling, the pick-up truck had moved at least 200 metres with the deceased still being under the truck’s chassis.

The truck bearing registration number AS12BC8416 had then fled the spot after the driver had realized that the person had died on the spot.
The police said that during the collision, the deceased’s head tore from its body and there was no chance of his survival.

He had died on the spot and was then taken to the hospital for legal proceedings.
The truck was intercepted and further investigation is underway.
