Renowned physician of Hojai district of Assam, Dr Dipu Marme passed away early Tuesday morning at Hojai at the age of 50 years.
Dr Marme breathed his last at the HAMM Hospital & Research Centre at Hojai. He was suffering from cancer since last few months. He served in HAMM Hospital & Research Centre for more than 20 years as MD.
He was very popular among all the age groups of the society, because of the way he used to deal with his patients which was unique.
His friendly nature always helped his patients to connect with him easily. He was a good human being and a epitome of honesty.
Talking to media, Dr A Langthasa of HAMM Hospital & Research Centre informed that Dr Marme was suffering from cancer since February 2018. Dr Marme came to know about this at the last stage.
Badruddin Ajmal, CEO of Ajmal Foundation and MP Dhubri, doctors of HAMM Hospital & Research Centre along with staff and general public paid homage to Dr Dipu Marme, after which his body was taken to his native village in Sonapur where the last rites were performed.
Demise of Dr Dipu Marme has casted a pall of gloom in Hojai district. He leaves behind his wife, three children and a host of relatives.
