Paresh Bhuyan, a veteran artist from Assam’s North Lakhimpur has recently attended an art workshop in Cairo, Egypt along with 11 others from India.
Organized by Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture, Embassy of India, Cairo under the theme ‘Bridge of Friendship’, the art workshop was held to mark 25 years of Glimpses of India Painting Competition in Egypt.

India had sent 12 selected artists to the programme in which Bhuyan, an almanac of Government College of Art & Crafts Assam, was a member.
Paresh Bhuyan participated in art workshop at Hellwan University, Cairo and interacted with its students and faculties during the programme which also included two exhibitions and a round-table discussion.
It may be recalled that Paresh Bhuyan is also an active member of artist campaign called Bator Canvas doing mobile art sessions on streets of various places in Assam.

Of late he was responsible for painting huge murals on walls at various public places of North Lakhimpur in a bid to beautify the town.
