No person has been reported coronavirus positive in eastern Assam’s Dibrugarh district so far.
The person whose sample was taken in Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) on Monday has been detected negative.
It has been seen that some rumours are spreading in social media that four persons have been detected positive in Dibrugarh.
Many people are spreading rumours about positive case in Dibrugarh without any verification.
The administration has asked people to refrain from spreading such rumours.
The RMRC has conducted a community test drive taking 20 samples randomly in some areas of Dibrugarh on Tuesday.
No one is detected positive in the community test also.
In view of the situation prevailing in the country due to COVID-19 cases, Dibrugarh deputy commissioner, Pallav Gopal Jha on Monday appealed to the public not to venture out of their houses unless absolutely necessary.
