Accelerating the gradual re-introduction of passenger trains, the NF Railway has decided to introduce two Intercity-Express Special trains and five short-distance passenger special trains in a phased manner from next week.
All these trains will be daily services, said an NF Railway statement.
While Lumding-Alipurduar Jn Intercity-Express Special will be introduced from December 25, Katihar-Siliguri Jn Intercity-Express Special will run from December 24.
The New Bongaigaon-Guwahati Passenger Special will run from December 14, Alipurduar Jn-Bamanhat Passenger Special from December 14, Siliguri Jn-Bamanhat Passenger Special from December 14, Malda Town-Balurghat Passenger Special from December 17 and Alipurduar Jn-Bamanhat Passenger Special will run from December 24.
Passengers have been requested to consult the detailed advertisements and the COVID-19 protocols being notified by state governments before undertaking the journey, the statement added.
