In their continued efforts against drug peddling, Assam’s Nagaon Police has arrested 9 more drug peddlers including women during 4 separate operations.
Sharing pictures of the arrested drug peddlers, Nagaon Police said its Anti-Narcotics Squad carried out the serial operations in Nagaon and Rupahihat areas.
It informed that a huge amount of drugs, meant for distribution, were recovered by the Anti-Narcotics Squad.
“9 arrested in 4 serial operations led by our Anti Narcotics Squad against Drugs in Nagaon and Rupahihat areas. Huge amount of drugs meant for distribution recovered,” Nagaon Police tweeted.
Assam Police continues to carry out operations against drugs.

On December 24, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet said based on intelligence inputs an operation was carried out at Doboka in Hojai district.
During the operation, police seized 61 soaps containing 680 gms of suspected heroin which were hidden in a compartment between the footboard & base of a car.
Two drug peddlers were also arrested in connection with the case.

“Based on intelligence, in a smart op in Doboka (Hojai), @assampolice team intercepted a Baleno and seized 61 soaps containing 680 gms suspected Heroin, hidden in a compartment between the footboard & base of the car. Two persons of another state arrested,” Assam chief minister sarma tweeted on Dec 24.
