Sensation prevailed at Badarpur in south Assam’s Karimganj district after the recovery of a minor boy.
The body of the 15-year-old boy was recovered by SDRF divers from Barak river in Badarpur.
Police said the deceased has been identified as Md. Mazar Ali, a resident of Khaadiman village in Badarpur.
He got drowned in the river whenhad gone for swimming.
Emergency rescue services, including SDRF, divers, fire brigade and police, rushed to the spot for a rescue operation and after a long haul, the body was recovered in the evening.
Police informed that from preliminary investigation, it was found that the deceased was a resident of Bihar and was working here in blanket craft work.
A case has been registered in this regard.
