Guwahati: A minor boy died due to electrocution after coming into contact with a high-voltage electrical wire at Mayong in Morigaon, Assam, on Tuesday morning.
Reports stated that Minhazul, the victim, was walking along the roadside when he accidentally touched the live wire, resulting in a fatal electric shock.

He succumbed to his injuries on the spot before any help could arrive.
Locals following the incident accused the power department of gross negligence.

They further demanded immediate action from the district administration and Mayong police against officials involved in the negligent act.
They stated that there are no safety measures or checks taken by the power department when any live wires break.
