Assam’s minister of state for education Bhabesh Kalita distributed scooties to 427 meritorious girl students of higher secondary standard at Natasurya Phani Sharma Bhawan in Goalpara.
While addressing the students of Goalpara district on Sunday, minister Kalita appealed to the students to form a civilized society where people love and respect each other unconditionally.

“Avail the ample opportunities and privileges provided by the government in education sector and build a society of mutual love and respect without the differences of caste and creed.”
“That society will be an educated and beautiful society. If we fail to form that society, our education will be called ill education,” said Kalita.
The minister focused on the different aspects of the BJP-led state government and praised both chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal and finance and education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for their role in fulfilling the public aspirations.

Earlier, Dr. Ashraful Amin, the DC (in-charge), delivered the inaugural speech and termed the distribution of scooties to the meritorious students as a historic one.
He also encouraged the students through his speech to study harder and attain their goals and become responsible and helping towards the other upcoming students.
Two MLAs, Dipak Rabha and Sahabuddin Ahmed, speaking on the occasion, also lauded the government for the valuable gifts to the students.
Dr. Subhash Barman, local nodal officer of the programme, also spoke on the issue.
Among others, ADCs Jayshankar Sarma and Pallavjyoti Nath, DIPRO Suprava Roy also attended the programme.
Rituporna Das, assistant commissioner, anchored the entire programme.
