Guwahati: Modern English School (MES) marked a proud milestone during the 77th Republic Day celebrations at the Assam Legislative Assembly, where 30 NCC cadets from the school took part in the Republic Day Parade in the presence of the Chief Guest, Biswajit Daimary, Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly.
While MES has previously participated in Republic Day events at Judges Field, this year was significant as the school’s NCC cadets represented MES beyond the school campus for the first time. The cadets marched with precision and discipline under the guidance of the Drill Instructors (PI Officers) of the 1 Assam Battalion NCC.
Leading the MES contingent, Cadet Ranakravit Gogoi served as Platoon Commander, demonstrating exemplary leadership, dedication, and commitment.
The participation of the NCC cadets showcased the school’s emphasis on discipline, patriotism, and holistic development, making the occasion a moment of pride for the entire Modern English School community.
