Manipur took pride in the fact that a talented Manipuri youth and a resident of Silchar in Barak Valley of Assam has made it to the civil services in Assam.

Among the 95 civil services posts (junior grade), Keisham Eshan Singh of Silchar cracked the combined competitive examination conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) and secured seventh position in all Assam rank.

Eshan Singh, a software engineer by profession, is the youngest son of Keisham Babu Singh and late Keisham Chandrajini Devi, residents of Rongpur Barbhuiya lane in Silchar of Cachar district in Assam.

The family originally hails from Chingdong Leikai, a Manipuri inhabitant village under Lakhimpur subdivision of Cachar in Assam.

Notably, Eshan Singh topped in the matriculation examination conducted by Meghalaya Board of Secondary Education (MBOSE) in 2008. He also managed to top in the higher secondary examination from St Anthony College of Shillong in the year 2010.

Eshan did his engineering graduation from Birla Institute of Technical Sciences, Rajasthan and is now serving as a software engineer in a multinational company in Bangalore.
