ITANAGAR: A man from Digboi in Tinsukia district of Assam has reportedly gone missing from a hotel at Hunli in Arunachal Pradesh.

The missing man from Digboi in Assam has been identified as Debojit Das.

Das went missing from “Old Hotel 65km” at Hunli in Arunachal Pradesh.

Debojit Das from Digboi in Assam was in Arunachal Pradesh to check the sound systems installed for Reh Festival at Etalin village.

After supervising the check of sound systems, Debojit was returning to Roing in Arunachal Pradesh, when he and his crew got struck in the snow and had to find accommodation at the “Old Hotel 65km” in Hunli for the night.

However, the next morning the crew was reportedly unable to find Debojit Das in his hotel room.

They received no communication from him and his phone was found turned off, which added to their suspicions, reports said.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered at the Roing police station in Arunachal Pradesh.

On the other hand, family members of the missing person from Assam has urged Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu, Arunachal Pradesh DGP and union minister Kiren Rijiju for help.

“Please help sir please. Sir, I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to seek urgent assistance regarding a distressing matter concerning my brother, Debojit Das, a resident of Digboi, Assam. We are deeply worried about his well-being and safety, considering the lack of contact for the past six days. Despite filing a report with the Roing Thana in Arunachal Pradesh, we have not received any substantial leads or progress in locating him,” Snigdha Das, the missing person’s sister, wrote on her X handle.

It may be mentioned here that Debojit Das from Assam has been missing from the Arunachal Pradesh hotel for the past six days.
