Guwahati: A man was arrested in Guwahati, Assam on Saturday night for allegedly being involved in the cannabis trade.
As per reports, the man was nabbed by a team of the special operations group (SOG) of Assam Police along with officials of the Garchuk Police Station based on specific inputs.

Based on the inputs, the police team intercepted a car last night near Lokhra in Guwahati. Assam.
On checking the vehicle, the police found around 21 kilograms of suspected cannabis.
The suspected person identified as Manoj Bodo was headed towards Hatigaon, said the police.

His vehicle bearing registration number AS01PC9474 was also seized during the operation.
The estimated value of the seized cannabis is said to be around Rs 5 to 6 lakh in the grey market.
Further investigation has been initiated in connection with the seized items and the involvement of Bodo in such activities.
