BJP chief Amit Shah said at an election rally in West Bengal today that the saffron party will prepare the National Register of Citizen (NRC) across India.

“After bringing Citizenship Amendment Bill, we will bring NRC across India,” the BJP president proclaimed.

Shah has reiterated that his party would bring the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) after forming the next government in the Centre and after that “we will bring NRC across India to throw away infiltrators”.

“It’s a wrong perception that NRC is limited to Assam only. We will bring NRC in every state of India after winning the election,” said Amit Shah in an election rally in West Bengal.

He said that it is the commitment of the BJP to bring NRC across the country to “detect and deport each and every infiltrators”.

“First we would bring citizenship bill, so that all the refugees get citizenship and then we will bring NRC to throw away infiltrators,” said Shah.

In another election rally in Maharastra last week, Shah has said that CAB will be passed in the Parliament.

“A section of people mainly the Opposition parties are making false propaganda over the issue. We will bring Citizenship Amendment Bill and at the same time we will ensure that rights and freedom of the indigenous people remain intact,” the BJP president has said.

In fact, the BJP in its election manifesto has also said that the party will bring the Citizenship Bill after the election.
