The Forest Department which had been informed about the intrusions had laid a cage and managed to trap the leopard.

An official of the Department said that it was a full grown leopard and would be released into the wilds at a safe distance from it was caught.

“The two leopards had not attacked anyone but had scared the residents inside the colony.  We will try to trap the other one soon,” he said.
