A Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) workers meet was organized jointly by the Kokrajhar district committee of the party, Youth BPF central committee, Bodoland Students Union central committee and Kokrajhar district committee of BSU at Dotma DSA playground in Kokrajhar of Assam on Saturday.

As many as 10 members from the All BTC Bodoland Minority Students Union (ABMSU) anchalik level leaders and members officially joined the BPF party at the Dotma BPF workers meet in Kokrajhar.

The new inducted members were warmly welcomed with Bodo traditional Aronai by Rabiram Narzary, MLA of No 29-West Kokrajhar constituency, EM Rajib Brahma, former EM Derhasat Basumatary who is the president of BPF Kokrajhar district committee, chairman of ex- BLT welfare society, Samnath Basumatary, Youth BPF general secretary, Swgwmsar Basumatary and president of BSU in the programme.

Talking to reporters, legislator Rabiram Narzary, who is also the vice president of the BPF party said that the chief of the BTC, Hagrama Mohilary is the guardian of party and under his leadership, the BTC has been undertaking tremendous all-round development in every sector for all communities in the BTAD region.

He also said that the party has been gearing up for upcoming election by organizing workers’ meet in different locations to ensure victory for the party candidate from No 5 Kokrajhar Lok sabha constituency.

Narzary said that on February 10, 2003, the Bodo Liberation Tigers, the Assam Government and the Union Government signed the accord and deposited all arms to the government, adding, now BPF has no arms in its possession and has been working for welfare of the society.

“But Naba Sarania has been labeling false allegation against BPF party that still arms are available with BPF party workers to get votes from common people,” he said.

He said that this time Naba Sarania will not get vote from common public like during 2014 elections as the people has come to know that Sarania is not the right candidate for doing all round development activities in the Kokrajhar Lok sabha constituency and BPF candidate Pramila Rani Brahma will win and BPF party will restore the seat by wining forthcoming Lok Sabha election.
