Guwahati: Police in Barpeta, Assam arrested an advocate for his alleged links in a land scam in the state.
As per reports, the accused has been identified as Robiul Hussain.

He was apprehended on Tuesday night for his suspected involvement in a land-grabbing racket.
The Crime Branch apprehended Hussain, who reportedly had close ties to Samsul Haque, the alleged ringleader of an illegal land-grabbing operation.

Before becoming a lawyer, Hussain reportedly worked as a security guard at the Kamrup Metropolitan District Commissioner’s Office.
Police also suspect Haque conspired with two deputy registrars to facilitate the fraudulent land deals.
