Assam: Land pattas distributed to 123 families in Karbi Anglong

A total of 123 families in Karbi Anglong district were handed over land pattas on Saturday during a programme at Pranprilangso, 41 km from Diphu.

The families, who received the land pattas, were from Pranprilangso, Sarthe Ke-ap and Barlok villages.

While speaking on the occasion, executive member (EM) in charge of revenue, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Amar Sing Tisso said, “Connectivity and electricity will be provided in Singhason hills.”

Executive member Tisso also said, “The local committee of Pranprilangso has given me a memorandum for various development schemes here.”

Addressing the gathering he said, “You have demanded financial aid for Rangsina High School, Thekarajan, road connectivity between Pranprilangso to Langbirik and from Pranprilangso to Dungkeklangso and a community hall and a guest house at Pranprilangso.”

“I will include all these demands in KAAC Annual Action Plan for 2020-21. I will also consult our CEM (Chief Executive Member, KAAC) Tuliram Ronghang about your demands,” he told the gathering.

Stating that the land and revenue department of the KAAC distributed annual khiraj patta to the 123 families of Pranprilangso and Batlok, the EM said, “You need not spend money for your land patta, KAAC is distributing it for free.”

KAAC deputy chairman Ritesh Enghi appreciated the initiative taken up by Singhason member of autonomous council (MAC) and executive member Amarsing Tisso to distribute the land pattas and said it is “praise-worthy”.

EM Tisso and the KAAC deputy chairman said they will try to provide electricity to Pranprilangso and other villages.

Toilets and proper roads will also be provided, they said.

Earlier, the school building of Rangsina ME School, Thekarajan, was inaugurated by EM Tisso.

Deputy chairman Enghi inaugurated new electricity connection under Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijili Har Ghar Yojana at Sarthe Ke-ap, Batlok village.

KAAC secretary Nirola Phangchopi and joint secretary Tensing Rongpi were also present.
