A joint team of Kaziranga National Park (KNP) and Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC) rescued a one-year-old old female rhino calf on Saturday morning.

The calf has been rescued from Dahgaon village fringe area of KNP.

The calf is under observation at CWRC, the jointly run by Assam Forest Department and WTI.

The calf’s condition is stated to be critical.

The information about the rescue was shared KNP via a tweet.

“The joint team of KNP and CWRC rescued a 1 yr old female rhino calf from Dahgaon village, fringe area of KNP today morning. The calf is under observation at CWRC, the jointly run by Assam Forest Department and WTI,” the tweet said.

 

In the flood this year, a number of rhino calves got separated from their mothers and they have been rescued by the KNP.
