‘Kaziranga Utsav’, a three-day tourism festival will be held at the famed national park in Assam from January 5 to 7 next year.
Assam agriculture minister Atul Bora on Saturday launched the official logo of ‘Kaziranga Utsav’.
The tourism festival, which will be organized by the district administration of Golaghat in association with the state’s Forest, Tourism and Agriculture departments, will be held with an aim to showcase the tourism potential of the Kaziranga National Park (KNP).
The official logo of ‘Kaziranga Utsav’ was launched by Bora in presence of KNP’s director P Shivkumar, sub-divisional officer (civil) of Bokakhat Bibek Shyam and other dignitaries at a resort in Kohora on Saturday.

The agriculture minister said that important issues such as man-elephant conflict will be discussed as a part of a technical session of the festival.
He also said that no stone will be left unturned by the government to boost the national park as an iconic tourism site for domestic and foreign tourists.
Shyam said that various programmes such as food fests, cultural functions and art competitions have been lined up for the festival.
He also said that there will also be discussions on conserving the flora and fauna of the national park.
Moreover, a committee has also been formed for successful organization of the tourism festival.
The committee includes Golaghat deputy commissioner Dhiren Hazarika, Shyam and other government officials.
