Jorhat on Monday registered 41 new Covid19 positive cases including defence personnel.

Jorhat deputy commissioner Roshni A Korati informed that out of the 41 persons tested positive for Covid19 on Monday, 30 are defence personnel.

All the infected defence personnel have been shifted to the IAF Hospital at Rowriah in Jorhat while the others have been shifted to the Jorhat Medical College & Hospital (JMCH).

The deputy commissioner said with the new positive cases registered on Monday, the total tally in Jorhat has gone up to 92, including 38 defence personnel.

Korati stated that currently, the number of active Covid19 cases in Jorhat is 56.

Of the total active cases, 20 patients are undergoing treatment at the JMCH and 36 at the IAF Hospital here.

Korati said 27 recovered Covid19 patients have been discharged from JMCH on Monday.

A total of 145 recovered Covid19 patients, including patients from other districts, have been discharged from JMCH so far.

The deputy commissioner informed that the total number of positive patients admitted to JMCH till date is 176.

Many of these patients are from the adjoining districts.

The total number of active cases, including patients from adjoining districts. currently undergoing treatment in JMCH is 31.
