Police in Assam’s Chirang district have seized a massive quantity of contraband tablets from near the Indo-Bhutan border in the district.

As many as 4632 contraband tablets have been seized by the police.

The contraband tablets were seized during a raid conducted by the Chirang police based on specific information received.

Moreover, the police have also arrested two persons in connection with the seizure.

Identity of the arrested persons is yet to be known.

Notably, the Assam police have been adopting a ‘zero-tolerance’ policy against smuggling and usage of drugs in the State.
