Guwahati: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) 2023 announced the results of class 12 exams on Tuesday with the science stream being in the lead with a pass percentage of 84.96.
The pass percentage in arts was 70.12% while in commerce it was 79.57%.

Of the total students securing ranks, Sankalpajit Saikia, a student from Ramanujan Senior Secondary School in Nagaon, has secured the top position in the Arts stream with an impressive 98 per cent.
Saikia achieved a remarkable aggregate score of 490 out of 500 total marks.
This year, a total of 3,29,901 students appeared for the examination, out of which 2,40,431 students successfully cleared the exam.
The pass rates for the different streams are as follows: Arts – 70.12 per cent, Commerce – 79.57 per cent, and Science – 84.96 per cent.
In the Arts stream, a notable number of students have achieved excellent results. A total of 28,651 students attained first division, while 58,869 students secured second division, and 95,660 students obtained third division.
Similarly, in the Commerce stream, 5,254 students achieved first division, 6,486 students secured second division, and 4,505 students obtained third division.
In the Science stream, 18,868 students have been awarded the first division, 16,455 students secured the second division, and 4,082 students attained the third division.
